Trekker opp denne: Er det flere som bruker tripit her?
Jeg synes det er et genialt verktøy og vanligvis fungerer det ganske så greit når man videresender bekreftelser til [email protected].

Problemet oppstår imidlertid når jeg videresender en bekreftelse fra Expedia som den ikke klarer å "lese". Etter hva jeg kan forstå så er det fordi bekreftelsen er på norsk.

Derfor spør jeg. Er det noen som vet hvordan/om det er mulig å få tilsendt epostbekreftelse fra https://www.expedia.no/ på engelsk?

Jeg har forsøkt å logge meg inn på den amerikanske/engelske søstersiden, men der kommer ikke bookingen opp...

Jeg gikk over til å bruke Kayak.com sin tilsvarende tjeneste nettopp pga dette. Har fortsatt tilgode å sende den en epost som den ikke forstår.

Noen ganger har det tatt relativt lang tid, så jeg mistenker at de sender epost som systemet ikke forstår til en eller annen form for manuell behandling, mechanic turk el.l.

Både app (i hvert fall for iOS) og web. https://www.kayak.com/trips

Fordelen med Kayak for min del er at det faktisk virker med alle typer epost, spesielt de fra norsk Expedia hadde jeg problemer med hos TripIT. (forsåvidt samme med epost fra norske hotels.com, men der kan man lett få websiden til å sende epost på engelsk)

En annen fin ting med Kayak sin løsning er at man kan velge å få SMS med informasjon som f.eks gate når det er klart, utover det så synes jeg ikke det er så store forskjeller.

Et triks til nye brukere, ved forsinkelse:

Bruk Flightradar24 for å finne hvilket fly (kjennetegn/registreringsnummer) du skal fly med og track hvor denne maskinen befinner seg.

Dersom den ikke har landet enda, kan du estimere innkommende tid + turnaround for å finne et realistisk tidspunkt for boarding eller be om rerouting ved lengre delays.

Veldig bra tips, men det funker best på utebaser.
På hjembaser kan selskapet fort snu rundt på flya om de ønsker, så her må man utvise noe mer forsiktighet

We wanted to get in touch to explain why you may have recently received cancellation notifications about your upcoming bookings made with Lufthansa Group, or not been able to look up Lufthansa Group bookings using your Amadeus booking reference.

Unfortunately, Lufthansa Group has chosen to block all third parties from accessing their data, restricting Amadeus access to your bookings with Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, Eurowings, Edelweiss and SunExpress.

For the time being, this means that MyFlights can no longer retrieve your Lufthansa Group bookings and monitor these bookings for changes (if your booking was made through an Amadeus travel agent, MyFlights may still be able to access it). You can now only view these bookings via Lufthansa Group applications.

You can still add your Lufthansa Group bookings to your MyFlights account by linking it with your TripIt account, or by manually adding these bookings to MyFlights - however we are no longer able to monitor these bookings for changes. If you have upgraded your account to MyFlights SILVER or MyFlights GOLD, we can confirm flight monitoring for Lufthansa Group flights is unaffected.

Despite these changes, we hope MyFlights continues to be an asset to your travel. We will soon be launching a new version of the MyFlights app, including the additional functionality now available on MyFlights on the web. Watch this space!

Jeg er litt nysgjerrig. Hvis det er sånn at Lufthansa Group har blokkert alle tredjeparter - hvordan kan MyFlights fortsette å tilby denne informasjonen til de som betaler? Det virker litt... uærlig å sende en melding som lyder "på grunn av omstendigheter utenfor vår kontroll kan vi ikke lengere tilby denne funksjonen... med mindre du gir oss penger."

MyFlights App kan ikke lenger gi deg ‘booking monitoring’, dvs. endringer unike til din booking referanse/PNR for Lufthansa Group.

Silver og Gold kan fortsatt gi deg ‘flight monitoring’, type oppdateringer levert via App in the Air, Flight Tracker, FlightStats, Flight Update Pro etc.

Bookinger via et Amadeus reisebyrå kan (muligens) følges. Jeg har kontaktet utvikleren for mer info på dette og om det inkluderer bookinger via OTA.

MyFlights allows two types of monitoring.

BASIC, SILVER and GOLD have Booking monitoring, which monitors that actual reservation held with the airline/Amadeus and is personal to you. It has your seat number, frequent flyer number, which flights you’re taking etc.. This information comes from Amadeus.

SILVER and GOLD also have Flight and Connection monitoring, which monitors information about the flights, such as whether they’re delayed leaving, late arriving, baggage belt information, and whether you’re likely to make your connecting flights. This information comes from another data provider.

Lufthansa have blocked Amadeus from accessing their data, which means that Booking monitoring (and locating bookings) can’t be done for Lufthansa bookings. However as the flight and connection monitoring comes from another provider, that can still function.

So Flight monitoring (which is information about the flight, but not information about your booking) doesn't need any data from Amadeus or Lufthansa, so that will still work

The only way (for any status) to be able to use booking monitoring for Lufthansa flights is if they’re booked by a travel agent.

Edvard: If the booking reference is provided by an Amadeus Travel Agency, the app WILL do booking monitoring for Lufthansa Group? Does this include OTA such has Expedia?

I don't know exactly what criteria means a booking made by a travel agent will work, but most ones I've seen work if not booked with LH.

Some travel agents are more brokers than travel agents, and they just book directly with the airline (which means it won't work on Amadeus), but if the Travel Agent is an Amadeus one, then booking with them should mean it works (as they will need to be able to access the booking, and they're outside the LH ecosystem)

So, I've just had a look in the database. There are about 1500 currently live future bookings of LH flights that are currently being monitored.

And that's without even looking at LX, Austrian etc. Those are all booked through Travel agents from various countries.

Of those, around 50 are booked through Expedia, including Expedia.de, .fr etc.

I'm holding off saying 'if you book with expedia it'll definitely be ok', but maybe suggest people on the forum who happen to have LH bookings with expedia try them to see if they all work – social experiment

Google Earth har denne sommeren oppdatert sin iOS app, den har blitt helt rå.
Google Maps desktop har built-in Earth funksjonalitet (velg Satellite, 3D, tilt med Ctrl +mouse drag).
Google Earth desktop program har blitt automatisk (og gratis) oppgradert til Pro.

Tips på Uber; du kan nå åpne profilen til sjåføren som er på vei til deg og se masse ny info. Jeg avbestiller turen kjapt om jeg ikke liker kombinasjonen av ETA, sjåfør rating, kommentarer og biltype.

Interessant konsept; en API som viser sluttbruker hvor mange poeng/miles en booking gir, underveis i bookingprosessen hos tredjepart.

Foreløpig er Expedia/Chrome eneste relevante kombinasjon i Norge. Har ikke testet.

Dersom løsningen er sikker og brukervennlig, ville det være smart å kunne se opptjening underveis ved flybillettsøk. Det vil påvirke valget for mange her på forumet.

Ellers så har jeg blitt fast bruker av App in the Air og testet en del flyvninger etter oppgradering til iOS 11 app-versjon. Den har sine shortcomings, men er det beste jeg kan finne på markedet for push info på flighter.

Appen importerer de fleste bookinger automatisk fra mail, har fint oppsett med valgfrie widgets, kobling mot TripIt og Points Loyalty Wallet, statistikk, check-in reminder, notification center/inbox for alt som skjer med flyvningen (og kan forwarde kopi på epost dersom du vil dele info), du kan lagre boardingkort, kjøpe lounge access og en del andre finurlige løsninger.
