Kravene har vært variable fra land til land; men er i likestor grad avhengig av HVORDAN beløpene fordeler seg mellom ulike bransjer. Reise/hotell/restaurant o.l. vektes tyngre enn et engangskjøp av bil.
I UK ligger det på ca. GBP 200,000.-/år.

 

Da er Centurion invitasjonen akseptert. Så gjenstår det bare å se hvor lang tid prosessen tar med å få oppgradert kontoen fra Platinum til Centurion.

HOW MUCH ARE THE BENEFITS WORTH?

Centurion is our most exclusive membership and can be acquired by invitation only. You pay a membership fee of NOK 30000 per year which grants you access to unique benefits (the fee will be adjusted to NOK 35000 during 2020 when new benefits are added). Centurion benefits have a clear monetary value, and the Centurion membership also offers advantages, invitations and memberships to which a specific monetary value cannot be applied. Below, you can see an estimate of how much the Centurion benefits are worth.

Access to special lounges at airports in the Nordic region
For main and supplementary Centurion members, we offer unlimited access to our Centurion Lounge by Pontus at Arlanda, as well as Plaza Premium Lounge at Helsinki Airport, OSL Premium Lounge at Gardermoen and North Sea Lounge at Stavanger Airport. You are also welcome to bring two guests each. The estimated average value of each visit is NOK 450 per person. If you are traveling from Landvetter, Visby, Malmö Airport, Luleå Airport, Kastrup-Copenhagen, or Helsinki we also offer Lounge on-the-go. The example is based on four visits per year for main and supplementary Centurion members with two guests each.

Priority Pass membership is included in the Centurion membership for the main and supplementary Centurion member. The Priority Pass membership includes unlimited lounge visits (value 2 x EUR 399 (approx. NOK 3 800) per year), in addition you can also bring two guests each with no charge (value EUR 28 (approx. NOK 270) per person) to each lounge visit. The example is based on the cost of Priority Pass for two people who bring two guests each to two lounge visits per year.

Fast Track at selected airports in the Nordic region
Main and supplementary Centurion members have unique access to airport Fast Track. Irrespective of held ticket class or airline membership status Centurion members have access to Fast Track when flying internationally from Arlanda, Landvetter, Malmö and Helsinki. Centurion members may also bring two guests each. Sample cost of Fast Track when purchased separately is NOK 100. The example is based on the service being used four times per year by the Centurion main and supplementary member, with two guests each.

Meet & Greet
When booking Business or First Class flights via Centurion Travel, you gain access to a personal Meet & Greet service. The Airport Meet and Greet service is available at approximately 50 destinations worldwide, and offers you a smoother way through the airport. The price varies depending on airport, but the cost of this service starts at around NOK 1 300. The example is based on a Centurion member using this service once per year.

Comprehensive travel insurance on all your trips
When you pay for your trip with Centurion, you will be covered by supplementary travel insurance with comprehensive protection for you, your immediate family (spouse/partner and children living at home under 25) and your supplementary cardholders. The value is based on equivalent insurance.

Bonus
Here, we have assumed you have spent NOK 2 000 000 in a year and earned 3 000 000 Membership Rewards points. In this example, half of the amount is used to pay for selected transactions on your account and half is transferred to SAS EuroBonus.

SAS Amex Elite
With your Centurion membership it is possible for the main Centurion member to have a SAS Amex Elite Card at no extra cost. This gives you the possibility to collect SAS EuroBonus Extra points and get up to two Companion Tickets per year. Ordinary fee for SAS Amex Elite is NOK 335 per month.

SAS EuroBonus Gold
Main or supplementary Centurion member can be upgraded to SAS EuroBonus
Gold. That will give benefits such as Fast Track, lounge access and more bagage allowance when travelling with SAS or Star Alliance. It is not possible to buy Gold level without having qualifying points.

Hotel benefits
As a Centurion member, you have access to different benefits at hotels all over the world through our own hotel programs and through access to higher membership tiers in our partners’ loyalty programs. It is not possible to buy higher membership tiers, and access to them usually requires many booked rooms. The monetary value of actual benefits used varies depending on the hotel, room cost, upgrade possibilities and use of credits and other benefits. For example, the average value of available benefits for a two-night stay with Fine Hotels & Resorts is NOK 4 400.

Event invitations
Centurion members can expect to be invited to unique events throughout the year. This includes exclusive concerts, wine tastings and dinners, golf competitions and more. Most of the events you are invited to are exclusive to Centurion and cannot be accessed any other way. The estimated value of one of our most exclusive Centurion events is around NOK 7 000 per person. We assume you would attend one such an event with a guest.

Priority and benefits at concerts and events
We collaborate with several event coordinators. This means we can regularly offer pre-sale tickets available to you before anyone else, and tickets to selected events reserved just for Amex members. You can also book premium tickets with extra benefits via Centurion Lifestyle. As a Centurion member, you can also book your own box for events at Ericsson Globe and Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as seats in the Suite Lounge at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland (as of March 1, 2020) and at Spectrum and Telenor Arena in Oslo (as of April 1, 2020).

Jeg sliter med å se at kostnaden på 30.000,- pr. år (øker til 35.000,-) i løpet av 2020 pga. nye fordeler er verdt det i forhold til Platinum card. Særlig ikke når man kan bruke servicen til AmEx ICC Platinum card i UK for travel og concierge som norsk Platinum card-medlem. Hvordan beregner de reiseforsikringen til å ha en verdi på 11.000,-? En god reiseforsikring for en familie koster maks rundt 2000,- pr. år. Man kan med andre ord kjøpe mange reiseforsikringer for 11.000,-. Utregningen av verdien på Centurion card virker veldig lite edruelig.

Ja, Centurion gir litt "bling" for de som trenger det, men det er ingen tvil om at Centurion card ikke er det det en gang var. Det er vannet ut veldig de siste årene.

 

Er det noen av dere som betaler dette fra privat hånd eller får dere dekket dette gjennom jobb/ eget firma?

sånn umiddelbart virker det mye å betale fra egen lomme...

 

Da brukte jeg min UK-baserte kortID, kom innlogget inn og forsøker å bestille EBG til fruen og kostnadsfri Amex Elite til meg. Best of both worlds, eller muligens total failure.....

 

Det er definitivt ikke verdt 30 laken.

 

Må spille mer lotto eller euro-jackpot, da er det plutselig "gull" verdt

 

Betinget...Menzies ved siden av SAS er skrot. Men loungen som ligger bak passkontroll er langt bedre - hvis du skal ut av Schengen. Pontus er bra synes jeg, men liten. Men ingenting slår Eventyrlounge på CPH - drar alltid over CPH hvis mulig.

 

Må arrestere meg selv, og si at det var naboen til SAS loungen jeg refererte til.

 

Næh, om jeg hadde vært stinn av gryn hadde ikke det gjort noen forskjell. Du skal reise bra mye for å "tjene" på de fordelene, og reiser du så mye, er det fort gjort at du har en del av de hotell kortene likevel, og hva er igjen da? En høvelig reiseforsikring som du kan få iallefall, og lounger? SAS MC or AmEx gir deg nesten gull alene og lounge i det meste, med unntak av hvis du reiser SAS Hobbyreiser til destinasjoner som de ikke anser verdige for lounge.
Nei, det er mye jeg skulle brukt 30 (35) laken på før jeg hadde gått for det kortet der ja.

Etter Schengen lounge er stengt pga ombygging tror jeg. Enig at den var bra.

 

Det må vell være individuelt, og ikke one size fits all?
Om jeg hadde fått invitasjon, hadde jeg nok takket ja til dette, om ikke annet enn "for gøy".

 

Eneste grunn til å ha det kortet er om man er desperat etter blingfaktor. Med de «fordelene» er det ikke noe annet i alle fall.
