Moka pot, Siphon, Chemex, French Press, Pour-Over, AeroPress, Espresso – these are all ways of preparing a cup of coffee.
I’ve been hanging out at some cool Cafés lately; looking, learning, smelling and tasting coffee being made. Very interesting.
My coffee is normally black; no milk, no sugar, no pumpkin spice frappuccino. I do occasionally order an Espresso Macchiato and in nature/winter I sometimes add pure butter (sure you have not tried that, hu?)
Can I taste the difference based on preparation method alone?
Probably, and I enjoy watching the barista at work. Coffee tastes better and more special when you've observed the time, precision and care taken in making your drink.
Grind the beans and enjoy.
