Take Wave Street which becomes Ocean View Blvd. You’ll pass the aquarium on your right side and the Tin Cannery Mall on your left. Drive just a couple of minutes. There will be FREE all day street parking after the parking signs end.
Located in Half Moon Bay, Sam's Chowder House is one of the most popular stops for food along the drive and it is pretty much always crowded. The go to item is the lobster roll which has been on a few "best sandwiches in America" lists

Driving into Point Lobos will cost you $10 per vehicle. Parking on the dirt shoulder off of Highway 1 and walking in is completely FREE and legal.
Many of the restaurants on the Wharf hand out free samples of their clam chowder to entice you to dine in. I’d say it actually works. Our favorite clam chowder in the world is available on the Wharf at The Old Fisherman’s Grotto
Where to Catch the Trolley
Parking is available in the
Downtown East Garage at 340 Tyler Street in Monterey for a flat fee of $7 for the entire day. There's a trolley pick-up point located just across from the garage on Tyler Street, and more in downtown Monterey
Carmel
-17 mile drive, innkjøring ved Pacific grove
I like to go in through the Pacific Grove entrance and out through Carmel (or vice versa).
Even though it's written on the bottom of the 17-Mile Drive entry fee receipt, no one looks, so it's a little-known fact that you can get a refund. If you spend more than $25 at any of the Pebble Beach Company restaurants along the 17-Mile Drive, they'll deduct the fee from your bill. We recommend Roy's restaurant at the Inn at Spanish Bay for their great views and service.

Big Sur* omkjøring
Caltrans today announced the opening of Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge to public travel and reopened it at 1:10 PM. This opens to the public 35 more miles of clear driving south of Carmel. You can now drive 62 miles south of Carmel on Highway 1. To drive "through" Big Sur travelers will have to take Nacimiento-Fergusson Road detour around Mud Creek slide, which is scheduled to reopen sometime next summer.

Several waterfalls can be seen in Yosemite Valley, depending on the season. Generally, the best time of year to view Yosemite's waterfalls is spring to early summer, when snow-melt and run-off are at their peak. The two most visited are Bridalveil Fall, which is located at the entrance to Yosemite Valley on Highway 41 (which becomes Wawona Road in the park) and Yosemite Falls which is located in the valley near Yosemite Lodge. Vernal and Nevada Falls can be seen from Glacier Point or by hiking the Mist Trail from Stop 16 of the valley shuttle bus system.
What are the main points of interest in Yosemite Park?
Main points of interest include waterfalls, Half Dome, Mirror Lake, El Capitan, Glacier Point, Tuolomne Meadow, Wawona, Tunnel View, Olmstead Point, Tenaya Lake, Hetch Hetchy and three groves of Giant Sequoias. Some attractions are seasonal.
Where are the Giant Sequoias?
Mariposa Grove near the park's south entrance on Highway 41 is closed for renovation and will reopen summer 2017. In Yosemite, two other groves are Tuolumne Grove, near Crane Flat off Highway 120, and the Merced Grove, west of Crane Flat and also off Highway 120. These groves require some hiking ability, as the first Giant Sequoias are a mile from the parking area. For more Giant Sequoia information in Yosemite - follow this link:
https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/sequoias.htm.
Nelder Grove, off Highway 41 just south of Oakhurst, is another area to see Giant Sequoias. This grove is located 7 miles up Road 632/Sky Ranch Road. For more informaiton on Nelder Grove of Giant Sequoia, follow this link:
http://www.neldergrove.org/.
Another place to see Giant Sequoias, including the largest tree in the world, is in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks about 2.5 hours south of Oakhurst. For more information on Sequoia & Kings Canyon follow this link:
